A significant quantity of goods was taken in a break-in at a shop in Glinsk on Thursday night/Friday morning last.
The break-in occurred at Dowd’s shop in the village around 4 a.m. on Thursday night/Friday morning last.
It is understood that the CCTV at the shop captured some imagery from the break-in but people who might have security cameras or gate cameras etc in the area are asked to have a look and get in contact with the Gardai with same.
“Any footage you may have from around this time could be of huge assistance in the investigation of the break in. Please share with anyone who might be able to help us and ask them to contact, in confidence, the Community Development Group or Cathal Dowd in the shop. We'd also like to ask everyone for the continued support of Dowd’s Supermarket which is such an important part of our community,” said a social media post from the shop owners.
