Falls of snow in some areas of the county overnight

Falls of snow fell in some areas of the county overnight.

Met Éireann had issued a Status Yellow snow and ice warning for today affecting counties Cavan, Monaghan and Connacht.

With ice on untreated surfaces, there are warnings of hazardous driving conditions, travel disruption and poor visibility.

The snow and ice warning will be in place all day.
