Former Dublin TD who lived in County Roscommon passes away
The former TD passed away yesterday.
Former Fianna Fáil TD Sean Sherwin who served as a Dublin TD in the 1970s has passed away at his home in Roosky.
Mr Sherwin, who was in his late seventies, died suddenly but peacefully yesterday (Wednesday) at his residence in Lavagh, Rooskey, Co Roscommon.
In 1970 at just 23 years of age, Mr Sherwin was elected to Dáil Éireann for Fianna Fáil in a by-election in Dublin Southwest. He served as a TD until 1973.
In the 1980s, he was appointed national organiser of the party.
