Students from CBS Roscommon recently performed their Transition Year Variety Show. The students performed six shows throughout the week, including four matinee performances for students from local primary schools and two evening shows for parents, grandparents and friends.
In the bustling weeks leading up to the inaugural event, the music teacher, Ms Quinn, poured her heart and soul into meticulous preparations. Guiding her students through rehearsals with patience and encouragement, she instilled in them the confidence to shine. From penning scripts to fine-tuning musical arrangements, she left no stone unturned in ensuring the show's success. As the curtains rose on the big night, the culmination of countless hours of dedication was met with resounding applause. The audience was enthralled by the entertaining performances which can be described as witty, synchronised, and magical, culminating in the greatest show.

However, this production would not have been possible without support. The CBS would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the entire staff body. They supported the production of the show in various ways over the last number of months. Thank you also to all the local businesses that provided prizes for the raffles, the support is greatly appreciated.

Thank you to Catriona Mulryan of Peelo School of Dance who worked closely with the lads to perfect their dance numbers. Thank you to Donnellan & Co. who sponsored the tuxedos for the two emcees’, they looked spectacular. Thank you to Audio Works who provided the lighting and sound. Thank you to Ms Moran, Ms Flood and Ms Coyle who worked alongside Ms Quinn every week to help the students plan, prepare and practice their acts. Heartfelt gratitude to Ms Quinn in particular for taking her vision and transforming it into something so spectacular.

Finally, thank you to the students themselves. The school is extremely proud of this group of Transition Year students. The school has witnessed them develop their confidence, their talents and their bonds of friendship over the past number of months, but particularly during the week of the shows.

Performing on stage is no simple feat, yet they effortlessly executed their performance, impressing with their talents in the process. They've established a culture, and all are eager to witness what lies in store for the future.
