Local secondary school pays tribute to Principal’s 'incredible' service

A local secondary school has paid tribute to its Principal following an “incredible 47 years of service”.

Athlone Community College rolled out the red carpet for Eileen Donohoe on Wednesday.

In a post on social media, the school praised Mrs Donohoe’s “dedication, passion and unwavering commitment" which has “touched countless lives and shaped the future of our community”.

The school, which caters for numerous students from South Roscommon, concluded by thanking Mrs Donohoe for her remarkable contribution, and for inspiring generations of students and teachers.
