UPDATE: Power restored to County Roscommon town
ESB crews in Boyle pictured earlier today working to restore power to the town.
Power has now been restored to the town of Boyle.
The North Roscommon town had been hit with a major power outage earlier, which had affected hundreds of homes and many businesses.
It's understood that the loss of supply was caused by a vehicle with a high load hitting an overhead cable.
The power cut, which occurred just before 3 p.m., had disrupted supply to more than 700 customers.
