Major water supply disruption expected in parts of county

Customers in Granlahan, Cloonfad, Lowberry and surrounding areas are advised to prepare for a significant disruption to water supplies from 9 p.m tonight until 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Uisce Éireann say the interruption is necessary to facilitate essential mains repair works as part of its National Leakage Reduction Programme.
Customers may experience loss of water supply, reduced water pressure, intermittent outages throughout the works period.
Uisce Éireann recommends that customers make adequate water storage arrangements where possible. Following completion of the works, it may take three to four hours for normal water supply to fully return.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience while these essential repairs are carried out,” said a spokesperson.
