Man charged with serious Ballagh assault remanded on continuing bail

A man charged with an assault causing serious harm to Jorden Newin (39) in the early hours of New Year’s Day in Ballaghaderreen has been remanded on continuing bail.

Ukrainian national Yevhen Shutko (46), with an address at Loughglynn, was further remanded on bail by Judge Vincent Deane at Friday’s sitting of Ballaghaderreen District Court.

The case was adjourned until a sitting of the same court on March 13th for DPP directions.
