Night of nostalgia in store at Arigna Miners’ reunion event

A great night of nostalgia is in store this evening, Wednesday, when a special reunion of Arigna miners takes place in Kilronan Castle Hotel.
The ‘Night with the Miners’ event will involve several former miners and a number of very special guests sharing their personal experiences of coal mining in Arigna. A memorable night of songs, stories, and memories is guaranteed.
Among the guests will be acclaimed author, Brian Leyden, who was born in Arigna.
Charlie McGettigan and John Lynch will interview a host of people with Willie Hegarty acting as master of ceremonies. Music on the night will be provided by Sean Magee.
Doors open at 7.30 p.m. and proceeds from the night will go to North West Stop.
The voluntary community-based organisation works to prevent suicide by informing, educating and promoting positive mental health.
