An Garda Síochána to carry out training exercise in the county

An Garda Síochána has confirmed that it will carry out a routine training exercise in County Roscommon on Friday, June 5th.

The exercise will take place between midday and 2.30 p.m. in the vicinity of Lough Ree and Carnagh East, and will involve several national units, including the Garda Water Unit and Garda Air Support Unit.

An Garda Síochána regularly carries out training exercises and simulations in order to prepare and test the operational responses, communication and coordination of units, ensuring that it is prepared to respond effectively and safely to emergency situations.

This training exercise is not open to the public or the media.
