Periodic speed limits introduced at two schools
A 30 km per hour speed limit will be in operation.
Roscommon councillors have agreed to introduce periodic speed limits at two schools in the county.
Director of services Mark Keaveney told a recent meeting that the speed limits would be in place at Ballyleague National School and St. Mary’s NS in Strokestown.
He said a 30 km per hour speed limit would be in operation at school drop off and collection times and was a variation of the current bylaws.
The speed limits were proposed by Cllr Valerie Byrne and seconded by Cllr Nigel Dineen.
