Rain warning for County Roscommon

Festivals have braved the deluge of rain that has fallen this summer.

A rain warning has been issued for County Roscommon and much of the rest of the country.

Met Éireann issued a ‘Status Yellow’ rain warning for Roscommon, Longford, Westmeath, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan, Dublin, Louth, and Meath. The warning came into effect just after 9.20 am and will stay in place until tomorrow morning at 4.00 am.

Met Éireann said pain will become persistent and heavy at times, possibly causing localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions, and poor visibility.
