A building in Boyle, which Roscommon County Council describes as “a risk to public safety”, is set to be demolished.
The council is to appoint an engineering consultant to oversee the demolition of the dangerous building located at Riverview, Quarry Lane in the town.
In a recently advertised tender, the local authority outlines that the building has been “deemed hazardous due to structural instability and poses a risk to public safety”.
The appointed consultant will be responsible for conducting technical assessments, preparing demolition plans, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
The estimated value of the contract, which will have a duration of 12 months, is €75,000 excluding VAT.
The time-limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is January 30th.
