Roscommon clubs hand out spectacular prizes over festive season

Roscommon GAA Club handed out a number of spectacular prizes as part of their fundraising efforts over the festive period.
St. Michael’s GAA Club held its popular annual super fuel and holiday draw, and there were a number of local winners.
The first prize of a trip for two to Australia worth €7,500 was won by the club’s intermediate football team goalkeeper Bríon O’Dowd.
The Roscommon v New York package for two, including flights, five nights accommodation and match tickets, was won by Cece O’Hara.
Amy Cox was the winner of the club’s infamous bumper tractor trailer load of firewood, while Karl Foley won a four-day trip to Disneyland Paris.
Paul McDermott was the winner of a four-night midweek cruise on the River Erne, while Liam Tanaiste bagged a Center Parcs Longford Voucher for €1000.
Another St. Michael’s player, Brian Reynolds, was the winner of two nights midweek at Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway and two spa experiences, while Una and Shane McGuinness won a weekend break in Riverhaven Log Cabins.
There were also a number of other prizes won (winners in brackets), including a robot vacuum cleaner to the value of €800 (Edel O’Flaherty); 500 litres of home heating oil (Violla Junskikievwie); 500kg Arigna Coal Harvest Flame (Alex Beggan); two nights B&B for two and dinner in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Sligo (Catherine McWeeney); dinner for two and B&B in MacNean House and Restaurant, Blacklion (Nadine McGowan); one night B&B and dinner for two in the Slieve Russell Hotel (Ken O’Dowd); one night B&B for two in Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim (David Dunphy, Sydney); one night B&B for two in the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth (Deborah Silver Bailey).
Meanwhile, Eamonn Cunnane was the lucky winner of Clann na nGael GAA Club’s trip for four to New York with all expenses paid to see Roscommon play New York in the Connacht SFC in April.
Other prize-winners included Enda Kenny, Cathal and Hannah Duignan, Joe Kavanagh, Carmel Gavin, Paula Kehoe and Róise Lennon.
