Roscommon County Council issues storm advice

Roscommon County Council has advised the public to exercise caution and vigilance owing to Storm Bram. A Status Orange Weather Warming becomes effective from 11am this morning.
They are calling on the public to
- Please monitor weather updates to stay informed
- Road users are to avoid unnecessary journeys and to exercise caution if driving by reducing road speeds, drive with dipped headlights and to be aware of any fallen debris.
- Secure garden furniture, temporary structures and Christmas decorations.
- Consider how best to stay warm in the event of any power outages
- Have a battery operated radio and communication devices charged.
- Have a stock of medicines at hand in the event of need.
A Storm Orange Warning remains in place from 11am this morning (Tues.) to 19.00 this evening (Tues. Dec. 9th).
