Roscommon gardai issue traffic advice ahead of Connacht final

With a large crowd expected at this weekend's Connacht final between Roscommon and Galway Gardai have issued traffic advice to all those attending.
The game is taking place at King and Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park on Sunday next, May 10th with throw-in at 4.15 p.m..
A Garda Traffic Management plan will be in place and those attending are being advised to utilize public car parks in the town centre.
There is strictly no parking permitted on the Athlone Road/adjoining estates and parking facilities. This restriction is in place from Ard Aoibhinn Housing Estate outbound in its entirety with local traffic allowable only.
There is no parking on the Circular Road but is permissible at adjacent car parks. There will be limited parking on the Golf Links Road but facing away from town centre.
There will be permitted parking locations on the Racecourse Road / Boyle Road with motorists advised to park facing outbound.
Parking will also be available at permitted locations only on the Galway Road.
Supporters are asked to follow all steward and Garda instructions.
Gardai are also warning that that cars causing obstructions or parking illegally will be ticketed/towed. They ask that those attending to respect local residents and to secure vehicles and keep valuables out of sight.
Large traffic volumes are expected so delays are unavoidable.
