Roscommon International Film Festival returns this weekend

The Roscommon International Film Festival returns this weekend.

Some of the best in Irish and international short films will be showcased in the county this weekend.

The Roscommon International Film Festival returns for its third year and will run from October 9th to 11th at the Roscommon Arts Centre.

It will feature more than 40 Irish and international short films across two unforgettable days.

From laugh-out-loud comedies and gripping dramas, to spooky tales, powerful documentaries, and stunning animations, every screening has been carefully curated to entertain, challenge, and inspire, the festival’s organisers said.

It has also gotten the nod from one of Roscommon's most famous sons, Chris O'Dowd.

"This weekend sees Roscommon town host an array of independent short films," the Boyle man said on X, formerly Twitter, "wander over if you’re looking for something."

Roscommon International Film Festival is supported by the Roscommon County Council Creative Ireland Programme, an all-of-Government five-year initiative, which places creativity at the centre of public policy. Further information from creative.ireland.ie and ireland.ie
