The Rambling House initiative, founded by the late councillor Anthony Waldron, has been revived in his memory.

The initiative resumed last week in Kenny's Bar, Ballintubber and it's hoped to continue it in his memory.

The Rambling House was a traditional place years ago where locals entertained themselves in Ireland with stories, song and dance, long before modern technology came along.

Mr Waldron revived the Rambling House idea post Covid as a means of bringing people out of isolation and connecting with each other again. He organised several social events around the county, which proved a huge success.

There was great hospitality in Kennys last week with lots of music, songs and recitations.

The next rambling house will be in three weeks' time, coming to a pub near you soon.
