Plans to build an extension at Athleague National School, to include a special educational needs (SEN) classroom and a multi-activity room, have been given the planning go-ahead.

Roscommon County Council has granted permission to the school’s Board of Management to construct the single storey extension to the front of the existing school.

The new build will also include an administration office, toilets and a staff room.

Related planning documents outline that the new development will require two additional full-time staff members, bringing total full-time staff to ten.
