Roscommon SPCA seeks volunteers

Roscommon SPCA is seeking volunteers as it enters the summer.

“We are entering into the busiest time of the year here at Roscommon SPCA, and our volunteers — many of whom work full-time jobs — are inundated with calls to help sick, injured, abandoned, and vulnerable animals across County Roscommon,” the local animal welfare charity said.

“At the moment, all of our foster homes are completely full with cats and kittens, including some requiring long-term foster care due to illness and recovery needs.” Currently, it is urgently looking for help with transporting cats, kittens, and wildlife to and from veterinary appointments, emergency animal collections, and new foster homes for cats and kittens in need of safety and care “Alone we can only do so much — but together, we can do so much more.” To contact the charity, please visit its Facebook page.
