A 30-year-old man who broke a window was given a prison sentence at a recent sitting of Roscommon District Court.
Marian Peci Jnr, with a former address at Apt 1 Castle View, Castle Street, Roscommon Town, but now in custody serving a sentence, pleaded guilty at Roscommon District Court to breaking the back window of a council house in the town.
The incident happened on August 27th, 2025.
The court heard that the damage happened following a row. Mr Peci was intoxicated at the time of the offence before the court, the judge was told.
His solicitor Sean Mahon said that his instructions were that the accused had given his wife €100 to pay for the damage.
Judge Vincent Deane handed down a three month sentence to run concurrently with the accused’s current sentence.
