Tributes continue to pour in for Roscommon woman Niamh Hand following her tragic passing.

A cremation ceremony took place earlier today in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Predeceased by her brother Darren and father-in-law Kevin, she will be sadly missed by her partner Eamon, daughter Amy May and son James, her mother Maureen, father Tom, sisters Sandra and Sharon, her brother Stuart (Mallet), all her nieces and nephews and her wide circle of friends.

Many tributes continue to pour in for Niamh who was from Rooskey.

She was a volunteer with the People Helping People group which works to support homeless families and people in emergency accommodation. The group is based in Roscommon.

Group founder Donna Fahy said: "Niamh was one of a kind and the most beautiful caring person and I’m so glad we had the pleasure of knowing her and working one side of her.

"We as a group are devastated and heartbroken for her family friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all at this difficult time.”

Many tributes continue to pour in for a woman who was described by one sympathiser as having a “beautiful smile" and "infectious laugh that will stay with us forever”.

“Niamh will never know how much her caring mattered and made such a difference to so many other people,” said another person.
