Tributes have been paid to a popular County Roscommon-based detective who has retired from An Garda Síochána after 30 years of distinguished service.
Friends and colleagues joined Detective Garda Mary Tarpey on Monday last for her final day at Roscommon Garda Station.
Detective Garda Tarpey was a member of the Detective Branch in Roscommon for the last 15 years.
In a tribute on social media, Roscommon Gardaí wished her well and hoped that her retirement “is filled with new endeavors and happy adventures.”
