The Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington has one of the best pints of Guinness in London, according to actor Paul Mescal. The pub is owned by two Roscommon brothers, Aonghus and Tomas Leydon.

The Guinness in The Auld Shillelagh pub in London, owned by two Roscommon brothers, has been given a ringing endorsement by Hollywood actor, Paul Mescal.

The Kildare native recommended the pub when he was asked by fellow actor Jessie Buckley where he thought some of the best pints of Guinness could be found in the English capital.

The Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington is owned by Aonghus and Tomas Leydon from Roscommon Town. They also own the WB Yeats pub in Finsbury Park.

Paul Mescal is currently starring with Kerry's Jessie Buckley in the movie ‘Hamnet’, a largely fictional story dramatising the marriage between Agnes Hathaway and William Shakespeare.
