The woman appeared before Judge Bernadette Owens at a recent sitting of Athlone District Court.

A woman has pleaded guilty to stealing over €330 worth of clothing from an Athlone store.

Kate Stokes, aged 35, from Hymany Park, Ballinasloe, appeared before Judge Bernadette Owens at a recent sitting of Athlone District Court.

She was charged with, and pleaded guilty to the theft of clothing items to the value of €339.72 from Dunnes Stores, Irishtown, Athlone, on December 3rd 2025.

Ms Stokes was remanded on bail to March 11, 2026, when facts will be heard and she will be sentenced.
