Piper’s Cross Céilí Band in concert

The Piper’s Cross Céilí Band will perform in concert at the Coleman Music Centre, Gurteen on Wednesday, July 1st at 8 p.m.

The band hails from County Mayo with the exception of one member from Fermanagh. Band members include Caoimhe Kilkenny, Paul Clesham and Eoghan Hughes (fiddles), Aodhan Hughes (banjo), Conor Maheady and Cian Kilkenny (flutes), Davog Frayne (button accordion), Edel Flemming (concertina), Eoin Walsh (piano) and Ryan Maguire (drums).

The band intertwine music, song and dance together in their performances, creating an exceptional and varied display of entertainment.

The band gave an electrifying performance on the night of the All-Ireland in August 2023 and were especially commended for their uplifting energy in their interpretations of traditional dance tunes, which strongly reflects the great set dancing tradition in Mayo.
