Ballymoe cyclist set to compete in World Championships

Ballymoe’s Richael Timothy will compete at the 2026 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships, set to be held in America.
The two time Paralympian will don the Irish vest for the Individual Time Trial and Individual Road Race events.
Back in June, Timothy won a gold and bronze medal at the UEC Para-Cycling Road European Championships in Maniago, Italy.
She won gold in the WC3 Road Race while claiming a bronze medal in the time trial.
The 2026 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships takes place in Huntsville, Alabama.
The four-day Championships, which begins on Friday, 4 September, brings together nearly 400 riders from 49 countries, with time trials taking place on Friday and Saturday, followed by road races on Sunday and Monday.
