A County Roscommon GAA club has received the green light from Roscommon County Council for a major expansion of its facilities.

Clann na nGael GAA Club has confirmed that its application to develop a second full-size playing pitch (behind its main stand) complete with perimeter fencing, ball stops and flood lighting has been approved by the local authority.

The development also includes plans to upgrade the club’s main stand, and a walkway around the boundaries of the grounds with solar lighting and a sensory garden.

The club — the most successful in the county with 21 senior football championship titles — has thanked its members for making the development possible through their continued support.
