A former Dublin senior footballer has revealed that he has a cousin on the current Roscommon panel.
Coman Goggins, whose parents hail from Strokestown, is a cousin of Senan Lambe.
The Roscommon Gaels player was one of the finds of last year's local senior football championship and made his senior debut for the Rossies in January's FBD pre-season competition.
Senan’s mother, Yvonne Lambe (nee McPhillips), is a first cousin of Goggins who captained Dublin to the Leinster senior football title in 2002 — the same year that Strokestown were crowned Roscommon senior football champions.
