A piece of GAA history was made in County Roscommon yesterday (Saturday) when the first ever Roscommon club game was played under the new rules.

The historic fixture in Ballinameen was a North & West Junior competition game in which the home side defeated Kilglass Gaels.

Yesterday’s game in Davonna Park was refereed by Stephen Carty, working along his team of officials - linesman Declan Woods and umpires Ronan Guckian, Mark Heslin, Sean Farrell and Fiachra Henry.
