Repeat of county semi final in first round of Club Championships

The dates and times for this year’s Club Championship games have been revealed.
The Hodson Bay Hotel Group Senior Football Championship and the Ward Bros. Intermediate Football Championships will commence on Friday, August 1.
Meanwhile, the King & Moffatt Junior A Football Championship will kickstart on Saturday, August 2.
On Friday, August 1, there will be a repeat of last year’s county semi final when reigning champions Pádraig Pearses face St. Faithleach’s at 7.30 p.m. in Ballyleague.
That evening Roscommon Gaels will travel to face Boyle in a repeat of their 2024 quarter final clash. Meanwhile, newly promoted Elphin will host St. Brigid’s that evening while Nash Park will be the venue for an intriguing showdown between Western Gaels and 2024 semi finalists Michael Glaveys.
Those games will all throw in at 7.30 p.m. Meanwhile, Clann na nGael will host St. Dominic’s at 8 p.m. that evening.
The final Senior game between Oran and Castlerea St. Kevin’s will be played in Rockfield on Sunday, August 3.
In the Intermediate Championship, Kilbride will host last year’s county finalists Strokestown on Friday, August 1.
On Saturday, Kilmore will host Pádraig Pearses B, Shannon Gaels will welcome St. Brigid’s B to Croghan while newly promoted St. Barry’s will face Creggs.
Last year’s Intermediate semi finalists will meet on Sunday, August 3 as Éire Óg host Fuerty at James Timothy Park. Tulsk Lord Edwards will commence their bid to secure an immediate return to the Senior ranks as they travel to face St. Michael’s that same day.
In the Junior Championship, Roscommon Gaels B host Kilglass Gaels in the first game of this year’s campaign on Saturday, August 2.
On the same day, Clann na nGael will play Western Gaels B, St. Aidan’s host Strokestown B, St. Brigid’s C play Ballinameen, St. Joseph’s will host a St. Croan’s outfit who are aiming to secure a return straight back to Intermediate while St. Ronan’s host Boyle B.
The second round of Club Championship fixtures will be held on the weekend of August 15-17 while the final round of group games will be played from August 29-31.
