Roscommon players help local company reach Interfirms final

A number of players from County Roscommon helped a local company qualify for the All-Ireland Junior Interfirms final earlier this week.
Alexion Pharma, based in Monksland, South Roscommon, defeated GMIB Insurances from Kerry by 3-11 to 0-17 in their semi-final at UL on Monday evening.
The team was captained by Cathal Gunn from St. Faithleach’s. The side also included goalkeeper Gerry Keegan (Creggs), defenders Trevor Murtagh (St. Barry’s) and Owen Conneran (Creggs), and corner-forward Jamie Feerick (Kilbride).
The team are managed by Kevin Galvin from Pádraig Pearses.
The final will be played over the coming weeks, and will be a home game for Alexion Pharma.
