The pairings for this year's Hodson Bay SFC quarter-finals were made this evening in Lisnamult following St. Fáithleach's eight point defeat of North Roscommon (match report will be posted online shortly).

St. Brigid's, Roscommon Gaels, Oran and Clann na nGael were the four seeded teams and the four unseeded teams were Boyle, Pádraig Pearses, Michael Glaveys and St. Fáithleach's.

The first draw made was to decide St. Brigid's opponents. Brigid's could not face Glaveys or Fáithleach's as they had already met in the group stage. Pearses and Boyle were the two teams Brigid's could face, with their old foes Pearses being drawn to play them in a repeat of the 2020 senior final.

The next draw made was to decide Clann na nGael's opponents, as they could only meet Glaveys or Fáithleach's, with Fáithleach's being drawn.

This left the draw open between the four remaining teams, Roscommon Gaels and Oran as first seeds, and Glaveys and Boyle as the unseeded teams.

Michael Glaveys were paired with Oran, leaving Roscommon Gaels and Boyle as the final matchup.

The winner between Brigid's and Pearses will face either Clann na nGael or Fáithleach's in the semi-final, meaning the winners of Roscommon Gaels and Boyle will face either Oran or Michael Glaveys.

The quarter-finals are set to take place on the weekend of September 21st/22nd, with times and venues being released tomorrow by the county.
