Two Ballaghaderreen footballers selected for Team of the Year

Two Ballaghaderreen footballers have been selected for Mayo GAA’s Club Championship Team of the Year.
David Drake and Kuba Callaghan have been selected after helping Ballaghaderreen progress through to the Mayo SFC semi finals.
Although they lost out to eventual county champions Ballina Stephenites in the semi final, the pair impressed in helping Ballaghaderreen come perilously close to reaching their first county final since 2019.
Drake captained Ballaghaderreen this year while Callaghan was prolific up front as he shot 1-8 in that county semi final defeat.
The Mayo GAA Team of the Championship comprises of players who starred in the senior, intermediate and junior championships this year.
Aidan O’Shea was selected at full forward on the team while Padraig O’Hora and David Clarke were also among those to be selected.
