Roscommon golfer Olivia Costello has progressed through to the Spanish Open Amateur Championship final.
This comes after winning both her quarter and semi finals today.
This morning she beat France’s Uma Louise Landgraf in the quarter final by the narrowest of margins.
She faced another French opponent in Sara Brentcheneff in the semi final. Costello showed her ruthless side when accounting for Brentcheneff 4&3.
Costello came through qualifying, which was played over two days, as she finished in the top 10 to secure her place against top quality opposition.
From there, Costello defeated Carmen Gonzalez Garcia of Spain 4&3.
In the Last 32, the Roscommon golfer overcame Alemendra Campoverde Martin of Italy 3&1 before she defeated England’s Charlotte Naughton 4&3.
In the final, Costello will play Spain’s Nagore Martinez Salcedo with that game commencing at 8.30 a.m.
