A County Roscommon golf club has said that it is immensely proud of one its members who was up for a prestigious award recently.
Martin Crinigan from Strokestown Golf Club was shortlisted for the Golf Ireland Volunteer Awards in the Inclusion and Disability category. The awards were presented at the Golf Ireland AGM in the Hodson Bay Hotel last weekend.
“While Martin didn't take home the top prize, being named as one of the three finalists across the entire country was a massive achievement.
“This recognition is a testament to Martin’s tireless dedication to the club’s Golf4All Inclusion Programme, where he has worked to ensure that golf is accessible to everyone in the community, regardless of ability.
“The club extends its heartfelt thanks to Martin for his leadership and passion. It is incredibly lucky to have him on its team, and his work continues to make Strokestown Golf Club a more welcoming and inclusive place for all,” said Strokestown Golf Club.
