Roscommon golfer prospers on international stage

A County Roscommon golfer notched up one of the biggest wins of his career last weekend.
Allan Hill enjoyed his maiden success on the R&A Student Tour Series after a play-off victory at Le Golf National in France.
A member of Roscommon Golf Club, Hill saw off St. Andrew’s student, Adam Charlton, on the first play-off hole after they finished all square on one over par 214.
The 23-year-old — a Masters student in finance at Maynooth University — is a former All-Ireland senior schools’ golf championship winner with Roscommon CBS, and has a number of notable successes under his belt.
A wrist injury curtailed his involvement over the past year, meaning that last weekend’s success in France was particularly special.
