Roscommon golfer selected for High Performance Panel

Thomas Higgins has been chosen to be part of Golf Ireland's High Performance Panel.

A Roscommon golfer has been selected as part of Golf Ireland’s High Performance Panel for 2025.

The former CBS Roscommon student has been named as he is among only 20 golfers from across Ireland to be included.

The Roscommon golfer has enjoyed a stellar year with the highlight being his selection for the R&A Men’s Home Internationals. He became the first Roscommon Golf Club member to represent Ireland since Ken Carney.

The event took place at Murcar Links in Scotland with Ireland finishing ahead of Wales and Scotland but behind England.

Last month, Higgins was among a team of four Irish players who competed in the 2024 Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship.
