'Role model for young players' congratulated on becoming Roscommon LGFA U-14 manager
Megan Gaughan is the new manager of the Roscommon U-14 girls' footballers for 2026.
A County Roscommon LGFA club has expressed its pride in seeing one of their own becoming the new manager of the county U-14 girls’ football team.
St. Mary’s Tulsk congratulated Megan Gaughan on her appointment, saying she was an “incredible asset” to the club, giving so much time, energy and passion to various roles.
“Megan’s commitment to developing young players, her focus on wellbeing and inclusion, and her constant drive to create positive experiences for everyone involved truly set her apart,” said St. Mary’s Tulsk in a statement on social media.
“She has always represented St Mary’s with pride, professionalism and dedication, and we know those same values will now shine through at county level.
“Megan’s leadership, organisation and enthusiasm for the game make her a fantastic role model for young players, and Roscommon LGFA are very lucky to have her.
“This appointment is a credit, not only to Megan herself, but also to the work she continues to do within our club and community. We are immensely proud to see one of our own take on this role and wish her every success in the season ahead,” concluded the statement.
