Roscommon athletes aiming to make their mark in Meath
Suck Valley athletes Emily Gately, Muireann Mulry and Ella Trayers who will be competing in next Sunday's All-Ireland championships in County Meath.
The 123.ie Athletics Ireland All-Ireland uneven-ages cross country championships will be held in Navan Racecourse on Sunday, December 3rd.
Roscommon Athletics will be well-represented at the event by some of the county’s finest young talent, all of whom qualified via the corresponding Connacht championships, which were held in Ballymote, County Sligo, on November 5th.

Up to 200 individual athletes are expected to compete in each category, with athletes competing on an individual basis, alongside representing their club, county and province.
At the U-13 girls' age grade, Roscommon will be represented by the team that were placed third in Connacht. The team includes Juliette Fallon (Roscommon AC) who placed sixth individually in Ballymote to claim a place on the provincial team, and she will pursue national honours in the girls’ event, which is run over a course of 2500 metres.

She will run alongside team-mates Sarah Kelly, Ciara Keane, Maria Godzic, Aimee Ttouuli, Chloe Ttouuli (all Roscommon AC), Ella Trayers, Muireann Mulry, Emily Gately (Suck Valley AC) and Heidi Crean (Reeside AC).
The Roscommon AC club team claimed fourth place in the provincial finals, which also qualified the club for a chance to compete at the national level this week.

An on-form Beth O’Mahony of Suck Valley AC will compete in the U-15 girls’ event over a 3,500 metres course, and will also represent Connacht as a provincial finalist. A strong performance at U-16 level in the even-numbered finals last weekend in Gowran Park, where she placed in the top 40, suggests that Beth will be one of Roscommon’s leading contenders for a high level placing this Sunday.
At U-17 level, Eamonn Coyle will represent Reeside AC when he takes on the 4,500 metres course at the Meath venue.
