Goalkeepers from Donegal, Galway, Laois, Meath and Roscommon have been nominated for the 2025 ZuCar Golden Glove award in association with the LGFA.
Helena Cummins from Michael Glaveys is among the five nominees for this year’s award alongside Donegal’s Clare Friel, Galway’s Dearbhla Gower, Laois netminder Eimear Barry and Meath’s Robyn Murray.
The ZuCar Golden Glove will be presented to the goalkeeper who wins the popular vote at the Ladies Gaelic Football Association’s website.
The ZuCar Golden Glove award was introduced in 2021 to acknowledge goalkeeping excellence during the TG4 All-Ireland Championships.
Cummins produced a number of outstanding saves, particularly against Fermanagh during her side’s TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate LGFA Championship contest in Kiltoom. Her heroics included a wonderful save down to her right-hand side to keep out a goalbound shot from Fermanagh’s Joanne Doonan.
Voting will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27th.
