Two Creggs players make Ireland U-20 squad

Creggs players Jemima Adams Verling and Merisa Kiripati have been named in the Ireland U-20 squad.

Two Creggs RFC players have been named on the Irish U-20 women’s squad for the Six Nations Summer Series.

Jemima Adams Verling and Merisa Kiripati were both selected among the 35 player squad for the tournament, which will run next month.

Ireland will commence the Six Nations Summer Series with an opening round game against Wales on July 5th.

Six days later, Ireland will face France before playing Scotland on July 17th.

Creggs RFC stated on their social media pages: "Congrats to our two Creggs RFC members selected on the Irish U-20 squad. Making our little club that much better with your selections. To Jemima and Merisa , we wish you well in your next challenge."

Two time Six Nations winner Niamh Briggs is Head Coach of the Ireland U-20 women’s team.

The Six Nations Summer series returns for a second year, offering the future stars of Women’s rugby the opportunity to gain important experience on the international stage, and a new step on the development pathway towards the elite game.
