One of County Roscommon’s best-known Everton supporters has met his club hero in Sligo this afternoon.
Commentator and Roscommon Herald columnist, Willie Hegarty, is in The Showgrounds to see the Toffees play Sligo Rovers in a pre-season friendly.
Seamus Coleman, who departed Sligo Rovers for Everton for only €60,000, is returning to his old club for this afternoon’s game and captains the Merseysiders.
Beforehand, Coleman posed for a photo with Willie who, for once in his life, was reportedly “lost for words”.
