For Margaret, the event marks a significant milestone in growing her art business.

A self-taught artist, originally from County Leitrim, her work is deeply inspired by the Roscommon landscape.

Two of her best-selling limited edition prints being shown at Showcase are based on familiar local scenes - Full Moon Over McDermott’s Castle and The Gaelic Chieftain, inspired by the well-known sculpture on the N4. Both works reflect the atmosphere, light and quiet beauty of the area.

Margaret’s paintings are recognised for their expressive use of colour and occasional use of gold and silver leaf. She also produces hand-finished limited edition prints and art jewellery, all developed from her original artwork and finished in her Boyle studio.

Her work is currently stocked locally at Leitrim Design House and Boyle Craft Shop and is available online on her website www.margaretrattiganart.com
