Woman (20s) arrested in connection with murder of Daniel Aruebose
A woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of Daniel Aruebose in Donabate, Co. Dublin.
The woman in her 20s was arrested on Monday morning on suspicion of murder and is currently held in a Garda station in Dublin.
Earlier this month, gardaí opened a homicide investigation into Daniel's death.
Human remains recovered by gardaí on September 17th have been confirmed by DNA analysis to be those of Daniel.
He was last seen around four years ago, although concern for his whereabouts was not raised until last summer.
Tusla had interacted with Daniel’s family, but closed its engagement with his parents after a temporary fostering arrangement ended.
His case prompted a series of “well-being checks” carried out on thousands of Tusla files, as well as a rapid review of the boy’s case.
Daniel would have been eight earlier this month.
When it launched its murder investigation, An Garda Siochana said: “Members of the public are urged not to assume that gardai already possess information they may hold, or that any detail is too small or insignificant.
“The investigation team will determine the relevance of any information provided.
“All contact will be welcomed and treated in the strictest confidence.”
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
