Despite a Bank Holiday weekend of storms all was sunny in The Tower where the tunes and songs flowed for Trad for Trocaire. On Saturday there was a lovely junior session with members of the Kelly family. Sunday night was the Tower's monthly singing session. The weather kept several regulars away but it turned out to be a lovely night with plenty of songs. Tuesday was the Tower’s yearly Trad for Trocaire session. What a great night of non-stop tunes for a wonderful cause. The regular musicians were delighted and honoured to be joined by a young Tyrone fiddle player, Mattie Kane. Remember that name, he is an amazing young musician. He was accompanied by his parents. Thank you to the wonderful hosts Kathleen and Sean for keeping traditional music alive in Elphin.
