100 mile charity run raises almost €12,000

Adam and Barry have raised thousands of euro for charity

A Roscommon fundraiser for Pieta has raised thousands of euro, reaching more than double its initial target. Almost €12,000 has already been raised, exceeding the initial target of €5,000.

Adam Simon and Barry Potter undertook an unbelievable 160km / 100 mile charity run on Saturday for Pieta.

The route started and finished in Lough Key Forest Park and went through Boyle, Ballinafad, Ballyfarnon, Corrigeenroe, Cootehall, Leitrim Village, Carrick-on-Shannon, and Frenchpark.

“This run is not just about covering the distance,” the pair said on their online fundraising page. “It’s about raising awareness, showing solidarity, and giving hope to those who are going through one of the toughest battles. Every step we take on this run will be for the countless people and families who rely on Pieta’s vital services.”
