Boyle company announces year-long partnership with Sunflower Children’s Hospice
Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation has nnounced a new year-long partnership with Nordson Medical in Boyle in support of the Sunflower Children’s Hospice. As part of the partnership, Nordson Medical staff in Boyle, will run a series of fundraising events throughout the year. Already, the team is off to a strong start, raising an amazing €3,967.80. A new year-long partnership between Boyle based Nordson Medical, a global provider of precision medical technologies, and the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation for the Sunflower Children’s Hospice has been announced.
As part of the partnership, Nordson Medical staff in Boyle will run a series of fundraising events throughout the year.
Already, the team is off to a strong start, raising €3,967.80. At the official partnership launch in Boyle, team members from Nordson Medical made the cheque presentation to Martina Jennings, CEO of Mayo Roscommon Foundation and Audrey Duffy, corporate partnerships officer.
Funds raised will directly support the construction and development of the Sunflower Children’s Hospice, which will provide specialist care for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses, as well as vital support services for their families across eight counties in the West of Ireland.
The eight bed Sunflower Children’s Hospice will include family accommodation, hydrotherapy baths, play therapy and sensory rooms, garden access for each room and most importantly a team of multidisciplinary medical professionals on site. Construction is due to commence in late 2026.
