A novel Christmas village window display featuring an array of moving figures and lights is proving a big attraction in Castlerea town.
The colourful display in The Square has become a real focal point for local people and shoppers over this festive season.
“This Christmas display has reawakened a vacant shop for Christmas. So we have a lot of moving pieces in the windows of Callaghan’s old shop beside Tom Flynn’s," explained Cllr Paschal Fitzmaurice.
“It's an idea I had myself. I've seen it done before and I thought it would be lovely in the town for the children to look in the two windows and see lots of colourful items moving like skating rinks and trains,” the councillor explained.
The festive display in both windows of the shop has proved very popular since it was recently installed.
