County Roscommon ice cream producer in running for major award

The NICE Ice Cream company, based in Castlerea, has been announced as a finalist in the 2025 Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards.
Two of their products, the NOBLE Artisan Chocolate ice cream and NOBLE Artisan Raspberry sorbet, have been shortlisted in the ice cream and lollies category.
Juliya and Alexander of NICE Ice cream produce unique blends of ice cream in many different flavours at An Chistin Food Hub in Castlerea.
The esteemed panel of judges for the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards include recipe developers, chefs, buyers, and other industry professionals.
The awards night takes place in The Round Room in the Mansion House, Dublin on September 10th.
They have put each entry through a rigorous judging process, so being shortlisted is a huge achievement.
Now in its 12th year, the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards have become a mark of excellence for food and drink products in the retail, wholesale and foodservice sector.
This year, judging took place over two weeks at Leopardstown Racecourse in Dublin.
One by one, each product is brought into the judging room and reviewed by the panel.
